If you’re for drug and alcohol treatment, you have countless addiction centers all over the country from which you can choose. But while the options are endless, but not all drug treatment is the same. Differences lie in the quality of programs, services offered, amenities, staff, location and many more. It’s absolutely critical to consider individual needs and personal criteria when choosing an addiction treatment program for you or your loved one.
An effective addiction treatment center evaluates patient requirements, then develops a matching treatment plan. Age, gender, history of substance abuse and living situation should all be factored into this customized program, along with personal preferences, learning capabilities and desired amenities. For example, religion-based programs may be right for some patients, but not for others.
We’re Here to Help
American Addiction Centers provides education, support and flexibility. Upon admission, we assess and evaluate patients’ substance abuse histories, which is key; a treatment plan will differ between someone who has recently taken up drugs and someone who has battled addiction for many years. The longer someone abuses drugs, the longer the rehabilitation program should be.
Essential components of treatment include detox, therapeutic counseling, wellness planning and family support—all of which we offer at American Addiction Centers.
With premier facilities located across the country, our team of treatment professionals are highly qualified specialists with the education and experience needed to guide and support our patients down the path to recovery. Many of our staff members have been touched by addiction in their personal lives, which has made the experience for the patients that much more compassionate. We are committed to providing the highest quality care possible.
Our comprehensive treatment program is focused on uncovering and addressing the roots of addiction through evidence-based practices and dual diagnosis. Because recovery is a lifelong commitment, we work with patients early on in the treatment process to develop continuing care plans. Appropriate and useful contacts and referrals are provided to further sobriety. Schedules detailing patient activity for several days post-treatment are developed, and follow-ups with patients typically begin 30-days post discharge.
Medically Supervised Detox
For patients who require drug or alcohol detoxification, many of our facilities provide in-house detox services and 24/7 medical care and supervision. Before the treatment program can begin, our trained, certified physicians implement safe and customized detox administration plans for the complete removal of drug residuals.
Our staff specializes in dual diagnosis, or the simultaneous treatment of substance abuse and behavioral health issues. With a focus on evidence-based and experiential therapies, group sessions and relapse prevention, we treat patients who struggle with addiction that is co-occurring with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, mood disorders and other behavioral issues.
Upon admission and as needed, patients undergo a battery of clinical assessments, evaluations and reviews with our certified primary therapists, physicians/nurses, dietitians and/or licensed personal trainers in order to evaluate where patients are in the recovery process.
